Pastor Ben and Thelma Kjiersdam have been involved in full time ministry since 1986. They have  three grown children. Pastor Benny graduated from EPBC (Eastern Pentecostal  Bible College) in 1986 with a Bachelor of Theology Degree.

He became the lead pastor of Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle in August of 2005. Pastor Ben loves to communicate the word of God. His desire is to see people come to know Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. This is expressed in the Vision and Goals he has developed for our church.

    OUR VISION:

We exist to produce fully devoted followers of Christ.

    OUR GOALS:

*To encourage meaningful encounters with God

*To cultivate an environment where the moving of the Holy Spirit is evident

*To nurture believers to lead a spirit filled life
*To be intentional and creative in evangelism
*To train and equip people for ministry
*To promote activities that develop relationships within the Body of Christ.

The year 1976 was a lifechanging year for Pastor Ed and his wife Myrna. They had a student minister come to their country church who preached Jesus Christ as the author of Salvation, Risen from the dead and inviting the "Whosoever will" to receive Him. We responded to the prompt of the Holy Spirit and asked Christ to be our Savior and very shortly after received the Baptism of Holy Spirit with signs following.

The Lord put in my heart a strong desire to devour the Bible. I was so excited about all the things God was showing me, I just had to share them. Right from the start the Lord  opened doors for us to lead Bible studies and Prayer meetings as well as leading the Adult Bible Class at our church.

God blessed me as I lead Bible studies for men which lasted more than 20 years.

In 2008 by God's Grace we were called to pastor a small church for the next 5 years. In 2013 we retired from full time ministry but continued to serve as interim pastor for several churches across the north. In the fall of 2019 he became our Pastoral Care Pastor and visits members of our congregation in their their homes, hospital or nursing homes.

                "Restoring Your Hope"

             Grief Healing/ Counseling

Let me introduce myself: I'm Marilyn Schwindt - Burmaster. I have many years of ministering & counseling to people whose lives have been  broken from various circumstances. No matter how broken you are on the inside there is hope for you.

Restoring Your Hope is for you who are grieving - whether you're facing the loss of a loved one , a job or a dream, there's hope for you and healing.

Restoring Your Hope offers the comfort, encouragment and hope you need to face the day. It will leave you feeling encouraged to pick up the pieces and move forward.

At this time you may feel consumed by grief. Your heart is broken in half, and you wonder if it will ever be pieced back together.

If you would like personal counselling, no cost, with no strings attached, please contact me through Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle Church Office at  (705) 942-2010. Appointents are scheduled for Wednesdays.
